Tiludronate , 400 mg orally daily for 3 months, is very effective in reducing the activity of bone lesions; It should not be taken within 2 hours of meals, aspirin, indomethacin, calcium, magnesium, or aluminum-containing antacids; Esophagitis is uncommon, so recumbency after dosing is not restricted, and the drug may be taken in the evening as well as during the day; The most common side effects have been gastrointestinal, including abdominal pain in 13% and nausea in 9%----[current dxrx 2005]--------e]
