group of neurologic peripheral neuropathic and or overlapping cortical, limbic, brainstem, cord multifocal encephalomyelitis subsets; most with autoimmune responses to oat cell small cell lung ca; many not reversable and some appearing months before the cancer is detected;

includes cortical enephalitis, multifocal encephalomyelitis, limbic encephalitis including brain stem, peripheral motor and central sensory neuropathic and ANS syndromes
