- Try building your search one term at a time, and be as specific as you can! Search term example: "chronic cough".
- Do not enter multiple findings such as "anemia, chronic cough, weight loss, vomiting" all at the same time.
- After selecting your term from the search results a list of possible diagnoses will be generated. If the list is too long, you will be able to narrow it down by entering additional terms.
- Do not enter values such as "heart rhythm 110" or "sodium 125", instead use "tachycardia" or "hyponatremia".

- Definition
-
A group of inherited congenital myopathic conditions characterized clinically by weakness, hypotonia, and prominent hypoplasia of proximal muscles including the face; Muscle biopsy reveals large numbers of rod-shaped structures beneath the muscle fiber plasma membrane; This disorder is genetically heterogeneous and may occasionally present in adults; (Adams et al, Principles of Neurology, 6th ed, p1453)------------------------------------Nemaline Myopathy; Congenital Rod Disease; NM; Rod Myopathy; Nemaline Myopathy is a rare inherited neuromuscular disease that is usually apparent at birth (congenital) and characterized by extreme muscle weakness (hypotonia); Laboratory examination of muscle tissue samples from people with Nemaline Myopathy reveal the presence of fine fibrous threads known as nemaline rods that interfere with the muscle function-----------[NORD]---------------------
