Definition

subset of polyarteritis nodosa. non necrotizing but P-ANCA positive and diagnosed with biopsy of skin, muscle, or nerve evidence of small vessel arteritis. glomerulitis and pulmonary alveolar hemorrhage occur but antibodies to GBM negative. treatment with prednisone, cytoxan, or azathioprin is effective. plasmapheresisc for more severe cases if P-ANCA positive. Some overlap with SLE and PAN and much constitutional symptoms. Skin and eyes are involved often as well as Mononeuritis multiplex.
