Sympathomimetic CNS stimulant drug; used in attention deficit disorder; pressor effect and lowered seizure threshold; may unmask or worsen tics and Tourett"s syndrome; oral preparation; sometimes helpful in and narcolepsy (Also illegal street drug, snorted and ingested in high dose; know as Smart-drug Vitamin-R or R-Ball or West-coast-speed));The side effects are the same as the psychostimulant medications such as Ritalin, Concerta, Adderall etc; Primarily they are to be appetite suppression, insomnia, increase in heart rate and blood pressure, abdominal pain, constipation, vomiting, ear infection, influenza, weight decreased, irritability, mood swings, dry mouth, nausea; Sexual side effects include impotence, erectile dysfunction, and difficult achieving an orgasm
