Definition

Old age disorder autoimmune polyneuropathy affecting motor and sensory nerves with gait disorder and falling often slow onset; weakness and absent reflexs distally; unable to walk with much paresthesia; ddx diabetes, vitamin b12, deficient vitamin E; treatment is IVIG; serum antibodies for GALOP; diagnosis with nerve conduction tests [Complex muscle action potential and absent sensory nerve action potentials SNAP]
