- Try building your search one term at a time, and be as specific as you can! Search term example: "chronic cough".
- Do not enter multiple findings such as "anemia, chronic cough, weight loss, vomiting" all at the same time.
- After selecting your term from the search results a list of possible diagnoses will be generated. If the list is too long, you will be able to narrow it down by entering additional terms.
- Do not enter values such as "heart rhythm 110" or "sodium 125", instead use "tachycardia" or "hyponatremia".

Synonyms of Kikuchi"s Disease; HNL; Histiocytic Necrotizing Lymphadenitis; Kikuchi"s Histiocytic Necrotizing Lymphadenitis; Kikuchi-Fujimoto Disease; Necrotizing Lymphadenitis ; Kikuchi"s disease, also known as histiocytic necrotizing lymphadenopathy, is a rare, benign, (noncancerous, nonmalignant) disorder of the lymph nodes of young adults, predominantly of young women; This disorder is often mistaken for malignant lymphoma, especially cervical adenopathy because the symptoms are very similar; The lesions, or tissue anomalies of this disorder cause the lymph nodes to become enlarged, inflamed and painful; The exact cause of Kikuchi"s disease is not known; Perhaps the primary threat is a misdiagnosis of a malignant lymphoma ---------(NORD 2005)-------------------------
Kikuchi-Fujimoto disease; Kikuchi’s disease; Kikuchi’s necrotising lymphadenitis; Kikuchi’s syndrome;Cervical subacute necrotising lymphadenitis, necrotising, histiocytic lymphadenitis, histiocytic necrotising lymphadenitis; A benign form of necrotising lymphadenitis of unknown cause, usually affecting young women, with development of lesions in the lymph node characterized by infiltration of the cortex or paracortex by large collections of proliferating histiocytes and complete or, more often, incomplete necrosis of lymphoid tissue; Focally, the histologic pattern might be mistaken for lymphoma or other diseases; The disease resolves spontaneously within 2-3 months; relapse is not common; More frequent in Japan, where it was first described -----------------[whonamedit_com 2005]-----------
