A form of necrotizing vasculitis involving small- and medium-sized arteries; The signs and symptoms result from infarction and scarring of the affected organ system;<br>

commonly caused by chronic hepatitis B; steroid/lamivudin/plasma exchange for viral cause but cyclophosphamide for steroid resistant cases; viral replication increases with just steroid in hep b caes causes eariler cirrhosis; PAN involves skin,kidney,nerves and GI tract preferentially; this is a necrotic vasculitis<br>

causing renal failure and hypertension
