- Try building your search one term at a time, and be as specific as you can! Search term example: "chronic cough".
- Do not enter multiple findings such as "anemia, chronic cough, weight loss, vomiting" all at the same time.
- After selecting your term from the search results a list of possible diagnoses will be generated. If the list is too long, you will be able to narrow it down by entering additional terms.
- Do not enter values such as "heart rhythm 110" or "sodium 125", instead use "tachycardia" or "hyponatremia".

- Definition
-
A syndrome characterized by abdominal wall musculature deficiency, cryptorchism, and urinary tract abnormalities. The syndrome derives its name from its characteristic distended abdomen with wrinkled skin--------A syndrome of hypoplasia or aplasia of the abdominal muscle, presenting a thin, loose, wrinkled and shriveled (prunelike) abdominal wall, with furrowlike umbilicus, and other anomalies, including persistent urachus, pigeon breast deformity, and a variety of gastrointestinal, cardiovascular, urogenital, and skeletal abnormalities; Prune belly syndrome may occur with or without pulmonic stenosis, deafness, and mental retardation; Distention of the bladder and urethra in utero is considered as a possible cause of abdominal overdistention-------------[Jablonski/NIH Anomalies Archives 2007]-----------
